Synthetic Absorbable Monofilament Suture • Polyglecaprone 25 (PGCL) • Sterile • Good handling compared to other monofilaments with less tissue drag compared to a braid • Absorbs through hydrolysis at predictable rate. Approx 25%-40% at 14 days , by 4 weeks very little tensile strength remains, complete absorption in 80-120 days. • A great value with 36" lengths. • Indicated for use in soft tissue approximation and or ligation, but not for use in cardiovascular or neurological procedures.
